Sublime Beauties – Around Ravel and Debussy
Sublime Beauties – Around Ravel and Debussy – Presented by Ben Glossop
In this year of Maurice Ravel’s 150th birthday, we offer you what is perhaps one of the most moving works in the entire repertoire: the slow movement of his piano concerto. His contemporaries D’Indy and Tansman share his elegance and refinement, while the young Canadian Tawnie Olson also displays a great sense of color. To crown it all, Claude Debussy’s Opus 10, a work full of life and richness, in an impressive reinterpretation by the great oboist David Walter.
