Prisme and Despax – Presented by Olivier Philippe-Auguste

For Ensemble Prisme, working with the Despax Quartet is a natural pleasure. Our paths have always crossed, whether at the Conservatoire de Gatineau or in other musical projects. This dynamic ensemble of seasoned musicians will allow Ensemble Prisme to perform another gem of the string repertoire, the Octet, Op. 20 by Felix Mendelssohn, written at the age of 16, but already the work of a genius.

Beforehand, we will have the pleasure of hearing the two quartets perform two other exciting works from the vast string quartet repertoire. A feast for the ears.
