Winter Scenes – Presented by Frédéric Lacroix
On cold winter evenings, nothing warms the soul better than the music of Tchaikovsky, the composer who has captivated the world for over a century with his beautiful and moving melodies. A journey into a world both distant and familiar. His marvelous trio will be preceded by two short pieces, the first by Lili Boulanger, who would probably be considered the greatest female composer in history today, had she not died at the age of 24. The second by Auguste Descarries, a great Quebec composer whom we have been joyfully rediscovering in recent years.
Lili Boulanger – D’un soir triste
Auguste Descarries – Mon lac
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky – Trio Op. 50
Tickets are available at the door the night of the concert or online.
